Neurotoxins – commonly referred to as Botox – are used to reduce wrinkle lines to create a more rejuvenated, younger, and more youthful appearance for patients. ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS TO HAVING ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS?
The risks and side effects of having anti-wrinkle injections are relatively minimal when done by a suitably qualified practitioner. After the injections, patients may experience mild bruising, swelling and redness from where the needles appeared in the skin. Furthermore, patients may also experience temporary weakness in facial or treated areas. Minor side effects subside in most patients after 24-48 hours.
HOW LONG WILL BOTOX/DYSPORT INJECTIONS LAST?
The duration of anti-wrinkle injections can vary from patient to patient and depends on a few variable factors such as the treated area and how different skin types react to treatment. However, the full effects of anti-wrinkle injections typically last anywhere for between 3 and 4 months, and sometimes a lot longer in some patients. After treatment, it’s important that you look after your skin in the best way possible to get maximum results.
